Angelica Maria Vale Hartman, also known by the name Angelica Vale, is a Mexican-American actress, singer impersonator comedian and radio personality known also as the daughter of Angelica Maria La Novia de Mexico and also as the daughter of comic Raul Vale. In 1973, she was credited as the person who launched her own La Balada Ranchera (Ranchera Ballad) music genre, which reached the top of the charts, making Angelica Maria the first Latin artist to have sold two million copies in the United States. She met Venezuelan singer/comedian Raul Vale in 1974. They got married in April of 1975, the first wedding to be broadcast across Mexico. She is an actress and writer who is famous as the author of La fea mas bella (2006) Lazos de amor (1995) and El hogar that yo robe (1981). Otto Padron is her husband.
